The Heritage Catering Team

Heritage Catering joined the Dixie Center team in August of 2009, and has loved being here ever since.  Their family owned business started over 35 years ago as Staheli Catering in Washington, Utah.  When they contracted with the Dixie Center, they branched out and opened Heritage Catering.  Owners, Darin and Lesli Walker love being part of the community and love serving where they can, and knew this would be a great opportunity to grow. In 2014, Darin passed away and Lesli decided to keep things going and stay at the Dixie Center. Two of her boys have helped her run things and have been a huge part of the company. Lesli is so grateful for them and her awesome staff that helps provide an amazing experience at the Dixie Center.

Lesli realizes it takes a lot of great people with their own wonderful talents, experience, and abilities to make Heritage Catering successful in many ways! Along with the stress and long hours, a lot of fun and friendships have been made working so closely together as an amazing team! We are sure that together we can make your event just what you dreamed it to be.

The Walker Family

LESLI WALKER

Lesli’s love is to work with the clients and bring together their dreams of the “look” of their event to reality.  Her passion is to have each room represent the event as much as possible with colors, centerpieces, and more. If you are looking for different ways to do this, she is the one to get with and make your vision come alive. She is also found running around trying to help where she is most needed.

KYLER WALKER

Kyler is found mostly in the office keeping things organized and together. He is great with this, and knows how to keep everything caught up with numbers right on. A lot of time his level head keeps everyone together, and focused in the same direction, which is a great trait to have.  He is one who is willing to jump in and help wherever he can. If asked where his favorite job would be… he would say the “dish pit” for sure.  He loves to see the accomplishment of a huge stack to filthy dishes turn into a sparkling clean kitchen!

KASH WALKER

Kash’s personality is huge to the Heritage Catering team!  He is mostly found in the kitchen working alongside of everyone else and will jump in and work with anyone! He knows most of the ropes of the business and can fill in any position if needed. He runs the concessions, helps the front of the house, is in the office doing paperwork, and of course the kitchen.  His happy attitude is contagious and can help make each stressful situation a good one. Because of this he is great to have as part of the team, but watch out… he’s a jokester!

The Client Experience

CARRIE BAILEY

Carrie has been with the Dixie Center for a long time. She’s one of the originals! Heritage Catering was glad she joined them.  She has been the one to keep things running smoothly since they took over the catering. Carrie is the energy of the business: if you see a lady swiftly walking, sometimes even jogging around the building, it’s her. She knows what needs to be done, and does it. She is always on top of events, and cares about every detail.  She will help make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.  Her energy and positive attitude carries down through the staff; they all love working with her!

KEN MIGNEAULT

Ken brings with him over 20 years of culinary excellence. He has work in many top luxury resorts in the country including the Miraval in Tucson Arizona.  His knowledge on specialty menus and diets will make working with him easy.  He can answer any questions you will have, and is willing to work and make changes where needed. His experience brings a lot of amazing dishes and flair. Which is a huge plus when trying to figure out what so many people will enjoy. As we know, it is hard to please so many different taste buds, but Ken does a great job doing it!

LEONEL RENTERIA

Leonel has always had a passion for the food industry. In High school he worked at a local Wendy’s. After graduating High School his love for the industry grew. He decided it was a career path he wanted to explore; he graduated Le Cordon Bleu in 2007. After graduating, he went to work for The Ledges of St. George until he was hired by Heritage Catering in 2009. Not only is he a great chef, he is truly a great guy. He can sense when our staff is stressed or tired and turn the kitchen attitude into a happy pleasant place to be. His easy going way adds a great atmosphere to the team. He knows when he needs to get in and get the job done, too!

These are certainly just a few of the hard working people that help bring Heritage Catering’s reputation of excellence to the table.  Many behind the scene, kitchen staff, servers, and more help make it not only a great place to work, but also a fantastic group to work with.  We all are here ready to help make your catering experience one of a kind!
